Adjustable Conversion Rate: the amount Ethy-Gen® II that converts to ethylene is a user-selectable rate and varies from 0.5 to 2 liters per 24 hours (additional and custom rates available).

Our generators can be used for fruit degreening in rooms that have a minimum cubic dimension of 45 cubic meters.

On the maximum side, the general rule is 2,500 cubic meters. The actual dimensions depends on several factors, including desired ethylene level and room “tightness” (how well-sealed the room is to prevent air loss).

For rooms larger than this, additional generators can be used, if needed, to achieve the proper ethylene level. It may be possible to use just one generator for a room that is larger than 2,500 m3; again, dependent upon how tight the room is.

Remember, ethylene is explosive at 27,000 ppm; always use our generators in degreening rooms that are 45 m3 or larger. When using our equipment as directed, explosive levels of ethylene in ripening rooms are not possible.
